You’re comfortable working in AutoCAD and other design software, and you’re excited to expand your technical knowledge while gaining hands-on experience with materials, furnishings, custom millwork, documentation, vendors, and installations. What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Regular bonus opportunities Paid time off Half-day Fridays every week (with full-time pay) Smartphone and laptop with necessary software applications Hands-on experience with high-end residential design projects Creative environment with opportunities to contribute ideas Mentorship and collaboration with experienced designers and industry professionals Exposure to all phases of the design process, from concept through installation Diverse, high-profile luxury projects to enhance your portfolio and professional growth Flexible work environment that values creativity, initiative, and input Exposure to high-net-worth clients, premier builders, vendors, and industry partners The Ideal Candidate We’re looking for a positive, motivated, organized, and team-oriented individual who is excited to grow their career in luxury interior design. 1–3 years of professional experience in interior design or a related field preferred Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred Internship or relevant industry experience will be considered Strong interest in luxury residential interior design Highly organized with excellent attention to detail Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously Proactive, dependable, and willing to take initiative Comfortable receiving direction while also being able to work independently Positive attitude and willingness to learn Strong time management and communication skills Flexible and able to pivot when project priorities or conditions change Design Expertise Strong understanding of interior design fundamentals, space planning, and functionality Ability to assist with developing and documenting design concepts Knowledge and interest in materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and custom millwork Strong attention to detail and an understanding of how design decisions translate into the finished space Ability to research and source products, materials, furnishings, and design resources Interest in developing a strong understanding of luxury residential design and construction Technical Skills Proficiency in or working knowledge of AutoCAD Knowledge of Revit and/or SketchUp preferred Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to organize, track, and maintain project information, schedules, budgets, and product details Ability to assist with floor plans, elevations, details, and presentation documents Ability to organize and maintain digital project files and documentation Comfortable learning new software, tools, and workflows Interest in utilizing AI-powered productivity tools and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and workflow Design & Project Support As a Design Assistant, you will work closely with the design team to support projects throughout the design and construction process. Responsibilities may include: Assisting designers with design development and documentation Preparing drawings, presentations, schedules, and project documentation Assisting with material, finish, furniture, and lighting selections Sourcing products and maintaining product information Requesting samples, tracking materials, and maintaining sample libraries Assisting with furniture, finishes, and procurement tracking Coordinating with vendors, showrooms, manufacturers, and representatives Helping maintain project schedules and deadlines Assisting with site visits, installations, and project photography Supporting designers during client presentations and meetings Taking accurate field measurements and documenting existing conditions Assisting with construction administration and project coordination Helping identify and resolve project issues as they arise Organization & Time Management Our projects move quickly and priorities can change frequently. The ideal candidate will: Have excellent organizational and time management skills Be able to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines Keep project information, samples, files, and documentation organized Communicate proactively when deadlines or priorities need to shift Be flexible and comfortable pivoting as project needs evolve Maintain accuracy and attention to detail even in a fast-paced environment Take ownership of assigned tasks and follow them through to completion Communication & Collaboration Communicate clearly and professionally with designers, vendors, contractors, and clients Work collaboratively within a small, close-knit design team Be comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification when needed Receive feedback positively and use it as an opportunity to grow Maintain a professional, positive, and solution-oriented attitude Build strong working relationships with internal and external project partners Client & Vendor Interaction While this is a supporting role, you will have opportunities to interact with clients, vendors, showrooms, contractors, and other industry professionals. The ideal candidate will be: Professional, personable, and confident in communication Comfortable representing the studio professionally Detail-oriented when communicating product and project information Able to follow up with vendors and industry partners Comfortable participating in client meetings, presentations, and site visits as needed Travel & Flexibility Willing and able to travel for out-of-state clients, installations, showroom visits, and job site visits Comfortable working in an environment where project schedules and priorities can change Able to adapt quickly and remain positive when unexpected challenges arise The Opportunity This award-winning luxury interior design studio is based in Scottsdale, AZ, and has been featured in numerous national publications, including Architectural Digest, The Wall Street Journal, Whitewall, and House Beautiful, as well as numerous local and regional publications. We work on high-profile custom residential and commercial projects across the United States for high-net-worth clients, premier custom homebuilders, and select commercial clients. As a Design Assistant, you’ll become an integral part of our small but mighty team, supporting exclusive luxury design projects from concept through construction and installation. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to the full design process while working alongside experienced designers, vendors, contractors, and industry professionals.
