Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Office Design Assistant at Carrie Long Interiors, located in Royal Oak, MI. The Office Design Assistant will support the design team and Project Managers by assisting with design projects, preparing and reviewing proposals and quotes, coordinating vendor communication, and participating in occasional site visits and installations. This role serves as a key point of coordination between clients, vendors, purchasing, and the design team to help ensure projects move efficiently from inception through installation under Carrie's direction. Daily responsibilities include client and vendor communication, project coordination, proposal preparation, maintaining project documentation, and providing exceptional customer service. The Office Design Assistant will also maintain awareness of project budgets, client payments, and outstanding balances, working closely with Purchasing and Finance to help ensure project information remains current and billing milestones are properly communicated throughout the project lifecycle. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously are essential for success in this role. Qualifications Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and team members.Ability to understand and read floor plans and construction drawings.Graphic design skills and a strong eye for aesthetics to assist in creating presentations and design materials.Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.Attention to detail and ability to follow projects through all phases of execution.Understanding of project budgets and willingness to learn the financial aspects of project management and client billing.Adaptability in a fast-paced environment and a collaborative mindset.Experience with project management software, Microsoft Office, or design software is a plus.Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred.Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceWork Location: In person
