WORK IN THE HEART OF SEATTLE'S VIBRANT ART SCENE & ENTREPRENEURIAL VIBE
Step into work every single day in Pioneer Square—the vibrant heartbeat of Seattle’s entrepreneurial art culture and hands-down THE vibe in the city. Our new Pioneer Square studio isn’t just an office; it’s a stunning gallery-style showroom (housed in a former art gallery space!) designed to present custom window treatments, fine upholstery, bespoke furniture, and luxury textiles as living art.
Surrounded by historic brick-and-timber architecture, boutique clothing shops, artisanal rug studios, independent galleries, and incredible neighborhood spots, you will be immersed in an environment that buzzes with creative inspiration. If you are inspired by beautiful spaces and want a role where entrepreneurial art culture fuels your workday, this is where you belong.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Drayp Interiors is seeking a genuinely artistic, proactive, and tech-adaptable Interior Design Assistant to work as a true right hand across all interior design aspects, manage our daily showroom operations, and drive client projects forward in our new Pioneer Square location. While formal interior design training isn't required, a strong artistic eye and creative instinct are absolute musts—you won't just be running the office, you will actively assist in translating interior design visions into reality.
Because Lead Interior Designer Sammy J. is frequently out in the field—meeting with clients, implementing interior designs, taking site measurements, and running full interior design installs—you will be the essential creative and operational anchor in the showroom.
In this role, your artistic nature and creative energy will come to life daily. When walk-in clients arrive looking for fabric or interior design inspiration, you will put your visual eye to work—guiding them through materials, pulling schemes, creating 3D floor plans, and curating engaging social media content to keep the showroom energy high.
Drayp Interiors operates as a full-service interior design firm with a renowned specialization as architectural textile experts. While we execute complete interior design transformations for both high-end residential spaces and commercial environments—including restaurants, hotel lobbies, and ballrooms—other interior designers also come to us to execute their custom drapery and window coverings because nobody does it better. We are extremely specialized, bringing an unparalleled level of texture, color, and textile harmony to both commercial and residential interiors. As Sammy J.'s assistant, you will gain hands-on mastery over specialized textiles and custom window coverings that most traditional interior designers never get the chance to learn, alongside full-scope commercial and residential interior design project experience.
Of course, every world-class interior design firm requires a solid administrative engine to succeed. You will balance this rich creative immersion by seamlessly managing the essential estimates, invoicing, and project coordination that keep our business thriving.
