Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Interior Design Assistant to join our creative team. Preferred Qualifications While a degree in Architectural/Interior Design is not required for this position, it is highly desired. This role offers a unique opportunity for candidates who have a passion for design and wish to grow into a dedicated Interior Designer position as the company continues to expand. Candidates with experience or education in Interior Design will have the opportunity to develop their design skills, work closely with clients and project teams, and potentially transition into a full-time design-focused role in the future. Experience with Revit is considered a significant asset. Proficiency in Revit will enhance a candidate's ability to support design development, create construction documents, and collaborate effectively with architects, designers, and project managers throughout the custom home building process. The ideal candidate embraces technology and understands how to leverage modern AI-powered tools to improve efficiency, enhance client communication, and elevate the design experience. Duties Assist senior designers in developing design concepts, mood boards, and presentation materials using tools like Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite Prepare detailed drawings and plans with Revit, SketchUp, Rhinoceros 3D, and 3ds Max to visualize interior layouts and lighting schemes Support project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and tracking project milestones to ensure timely delivery Collaborate on lighting design and sales strategies, including selecting fixtures and creating lighting plans aligned with client needs Conduct site visits for renovation and remodeling projects to gather measurements, assess construction progress, and ensure design implementation aligns with specifications Prepare contract documents and assist in drafting proposals using Bluebeam for seamless communication with contractors and clients Stay informed on color theory, interior design trends, and construction best practices to contribute innovative ideas during project developmentRequirements Utilizing AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, support design development, and improve project execution Creating high-quality, photorealistic renderings and visual presentations that help clients confidently envision their future home Strong understanding of drafting techniques, lighting sales, remodeling processes, and construction documentation Knowledge of project management principles including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication Familiarity with contracts related to interior design projects and renovation work Experience or interest in lighting design and lighting sales is highly desirable Ability to collaborate effectively within a team while managing multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication skills with a keen eye for detail in both design execution and client interactions We are a rapidly growing, fast-paced company built on a strong family-oriented culture.
