Overview
Join our dynamic and growing interior design team as an Interior Design Assistant, where your creativity and technical skills will help bring inspiring spaces to life! This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to collaborate on hospitality design and procurement projects nationwide. You’ll support a senior designer with drafting, visualization, and organizational project assimilation and coordination, gaining invaluable experience in the this specialized sector of the design industry. Responsibilities
Assist in creating detailed interior design plans using CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit as neededDevelop 3D visualizations and renderings with SketchUp, 3ds Max, or Rhinoceros 3D as neededPrepare presentation materials utilizing Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite tools as neededSupport project management tasks to include budgeting, product research, entering specifications, checking details, quantities, scheduling, ordering samples, creating 3d and physical image boards, and tracking project milestonesResearch projectsCollaborate with vendors and contractors on lighting sales, remodeling, renovation, and construction detailsReview Property Imporvement Plans and ensure compliance with project scope and client expectationsPrepare bi-weekly updates to clients and other correspondance for Senior DesignerSome travel with designer possible (optional)Skills
Proficiency in SketchUp, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D), and 3ds Max for drafting and visualizationStrong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite for presentation developmentExperience with CAD drafting, interior design principles, and color theory fundamentalsAbility to manage multiple projects effectively through project management toolsFamiliarity with construction documentation, contracts management, budgeting practices, and renovation workflowsExcellent communication skills to coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and team membersEmbark on a rewarding journey in interior design by supporting innovative projects that transform spaces into inspiring environments. Pay: From $35,000.00 per year
