Interior Design Assistant

Boutique interior design firm is seeking a part-time Interior Design Assistant to work with Head of Design to execute all facets of residential design projects. Responsibilities Include: Work collaboratively on multiple residential interior design projects.Create and modify architectural drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD and/or Revit based on design direction and markupsProduce detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, RCPs, and millwork/shop drawings tailored to luxury residential standards.Develop furniture plans, fabric and color schemes.Source fabric, furnishings, lighting and materials.Job Requirements: Proficiency in AutoCAD and or Revit a must.Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.Excellent sense of color, finishes, materials and design detailing.Knowledge of traditional and modern furniture styles.Experience working with high-end showrooms in the NYC area.Experience with custom furniture design, bath, kitchen and lighting design.Quickly expanding high end interior design firm working throughout the tri-state area.
