Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Interior Design Assistant to join our creative team. In this role, you will support the design process from conceptualization to execution, assisting with project coordination, drafting, and client presentations. Duties • Collaborate with senior designer to develop design concepts, mood boards, and presentation materials using Adobe Creative Suite and other visualization tools. • Prepare detailed drawings and plans utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp to accurately depict interior layouts, lighting plans, and remodeling ideas. • Assist in creating accurate construction documents and specifications for renovation and remodeling projects. • Support project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, procurement of materials, and tracking project milestones. • Conduct site visits to review ongoing work, ensure adherence to design specifications, and document progress through Bluebeam and CAD drawings. • Contribute to lighting design projects by selecting fixtures, preparing lighting sales proposals, and understanding lighting principles such as color theory and lighting placement. • Participate in client meetings, prepare presentations, and communicate project updates effectively. Requirements • Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Lumion and/or Enscape, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Photoshop, and the Adobe Creative Suite is essential. • Strong drafting skills with a solid understanding of CAD standards for interior design projects. • Knowledge of interior design principles including color theory, space planning, lighting design, and remodeling techniques. • Experience with project management tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, contracts review, and construction oversight is highly desirable. • Familiarity with construction processes including renovation work and remodeling procedures. • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients, contractors, and team members. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
