Fall 2026 Interior Design Intern

Shawna Kuykendall Interiors is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Interior Design Intern for Fall 2026. This opportunity is ideal for a college student pursuing a degree in Interior Design or a related field who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-end residential design studio in Dallas. Interns will gain exposure to all phases of the design process, from concept development to installation and project coordination. Location: Dallas, TX Type: Part Time Hours: 15-25 hrs/week Key Responsibilities: Design Support & Studio Assistance • Assist with sourcing furniture, lighting, fabrics, finishes, and accessories • Support the creation of mood boards, presentations, and client design packages • Help organize samples, material libraries, and vendor resources • Participate in showroom visits, vendor meetings, and site visits when applicable • Support installation days and project styling when available Requirements • Currently pursuing a degree in Interior Design or another related field • Strong interest in residential interior design and the design industry • Excellent organizational and communication skills • Proficient with basic computer applications and design-related software • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Preferred Experience • Experience with Design software such as Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar programs • Prior Internship or studio experience (not required, but a plus) Note: This is a paid internship opportunity and is eligible for academic credit through an approved educational internship program.
