About this role
Greenstone Homes is looking for a Design Studio Manager to supervise, plan, direct and coordinate all Design Studio activities.
Position Responsibilities:
• Conduct pre-construction meetings by providing buyers with product information, available upgrade options, pricing information and guidance with decision making by determining needs, wants and budget limitations
• Prepare accurate schematic drawing for concrete, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and flooring change order options for Purchasing Department and Superintendents
• Approve design/floor plan changes as required
• Distribute addendum information to Purchasing Department and Superintendent and verify all information and documents are complete and accurate
• Work with Sales and Construction departments to ensure schedules are consistently met and communicated to customer
• Handle special requests for custom options items from buyers and adjust pricing for non-standard items as necessary
• Research new products and provide recommendations based on buyer requests
• In collaboration with Sales Manager coordinate and select all design choices for model and spec homes
• Coordinate selection and maintenance of showroom samples and update pricing and new products
• Direct and coordinate activities of Design Studio team/staff
• Interview and hire staff and oversee staff training
• Responsible for departmental budget and operating expenses
• Serve as customer advocate and provide customer care throughout buying process
• Other duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Experience:
• A proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
• Interior design and sales experience preferred
• Superior communications skills, both verbal and written
• Proficient with computers and skilled in Microsoft Office software including MS Excel and MS Word
• Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work independently with occasional supervision, assess situations and solve problems as they arise
Minimum Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Interior Design or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in sales, construction, customer service, interior design or related field
• Minimum 1-3 years experience in Management
