Title: Design Director | Corporate Interiors Client: Our client is a leading workplace interiors firm known for delivering innovative and highly customized corporate environments. With a collaborative studio culture and a diverse project portfolio, the firm manages a high volume of workplace projects ranging from boutique offices to large-scale headquarters. Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Design Director to provide both creative leadership and operational oversight for its growing interiors practice. This individual will lead a team of approximately six designers while overseeing multiple active workplace interior projects ranging from 5,000 to 50,000 RSF. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding design concepts, managing staffing and resource allocation, reviewing project schedules and budgets, and maintaining strong client relationships throughout project delivery. With approximately 30–40 active projects at any given time, this role requires a balance of hands-on design leadership and effective team management. Responsibilities: Lead design vision and creative direction across multiple workplace interior projectsManage and mentor a team of designersOversee staff scheduling, workload planning, and resource allocationReview project schedules, budgets, and deliverablesServe as a primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholdersCollaborate with leadership to ensure successful project execution across the studioStay current with emerging design technologies, digital platforms, and AI-driven tools Qualifications:Extensive experience leading commercial workplace interior projectsProven success managing design teams and multiple concurrent projectsStrong understanding of project planning, staffing, budgeting, and schedulingExcellent client-facing, presentation, and communication skillsProficiency with industry-standard design software and project management platformsFamiliarity with emerging technologies and AI tools, including Programa, Claude, and similar platformsStrong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Compensation & Benefits:Target compensation range of $165,000–$190,000401(k) matching programCompany-paid contribution of 50% of employee health insurance premiums
