About this role

Turner Homes – Chattanooga Area, Tennessee Turner Homes is seeking a professionally trained Interior Designer to join our Design team. This role involves guiding home buyers through the finish selection process, assisting with drafting plan updates, and ensuring design intent is carried through construction. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, personable, and able to manage multiple projects while building strong relationships with clients and our team. Key Responsibilities • Lead finish selection meetings with home buyers and guide them in choosing interior and exterior finishes • Specify finishes for unsold homes • Prepare and upload complete construction documents for each build • Enter all selections into project management software • Support architect with nonstructural drafting changes (annotations, dimensions, schedules, etc.) and produce updated plan sets • Conduct site visits, attend framing walkthroughs, and collaborate with field team and vendors • Maintain the Design Center and Sample Library at the Ooltewah Office Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software • 0-2 years of professional design experience, with a preference for experience working with a home builder • Strong communication and organizational skills; attention to detail Additional Details • Full-time position, primarily based in Ooltewah with regular travel to Knoxville for training, meetings, and support for the Knoxville Design Team • Standard Full-Time In Person Schedule Monday-Friday, 8:00A-5:00P, with occasional evening or weekend client meetings as needed when necessary Location This is an “in-person” position in the Ooltewah (Chattanooga Area) office.
