JOB SUMMARY: Our Design Consultant is the face of the company meeting with homebuyers once they sign their contract. All Designers are experts in their profession, knowledgeable in product application, installation, sustainability and maintenance. Design Consultant your communication is key “verbalize to visualize” enabling your client to make right choices whether it’s builder included or upgraded products. Essential Duties And Responsibilities · Meet and greet your client for the first time in the Showroom, first impressions set the value of trust. Well groomed and professional attire are a must in your presentation. Kindness and open listening are qualities to a successful relationship with your client. · Thorough knowledge of product content, installation, sustainability and warranty for the following products: carpet, tile, Luxury vinyl, wood, granite, quartz, all slab surfaces and window coverings. · Strong sales skills accompanied with compassion. · Broad knowledge of Builder software such as Pharaoh, Sales Simplicity, HB1 & CRM · Experience selling Builder Options such as plumbing, appliances, cabinets etc., · Discerning eye for detail and accuracy with paperwork necessary to communicate your order. · Strong communication and collaboration skills for building relationships with clients, Sales Associates and coworkers. · Sense of pride for your Showroom environment and keeping it orderly and presentable at all times. · Patience and understanding with your clients and coworkers. Education/Experience/Minimum Requirements · High school degree or equivalent required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred · 5 years previous Builder Design Center experience is required · Must be able to work weekends and commute to different design showrooms · Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. · Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
