Role Description The Custom Home Plan Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Lehi, UT. This role is responsible for developing custom residential floor plans and elevations that reflect client preferences, site conditions, and local building requirements. The designer will use modern design and 3D rendering software to create detailed drawings, revise plans based on feedback, and prepare documentation for engineering and permitting. Daily tasks include meeting with clients to understand their vision, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring designs align with budget, timelines, and quality standards. The role also involves maintaining organized project files, adhering to applicable codes, and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes and standards. Qualifications Proficiency with residential design and drafting tools, such Revit, and Lumion.Experience in custom home planning, including floor plan development, elevations, and space planning for single-family residences.Working knowledge of building codes, construction methods, materials, and best practices in residential architecture.Strong visual design sense, with the ability to merge traditional and modern styles based on client needs.Excellent communication and client-facing skills, including the ability to interpret client feedback and translate it into design refinements.High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously.Collaborative mindset and comfort working closely with clients, consultants, and builders throughout the design process.Relevant education in architecture, architectural drafting, interior design, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.Prior experience in custom residential design is preferred.
