Construction and Home Design Instructor

Industrial Education, High School Purpose: Instructs non‑vocational high school classes in industrial education and supervises student activities related to the above so that students develop an awareness of the effects of industry on society, discover and develop individual interests, aptitudes, and abilities related to the technology of industry, are aware of industrial organization and production concepts, develop interpersonal skills, and expand their awareness of career opportunities. Qualifications A qualified candidate would have extensive experience in residential construction and an ability to teach all phases of home building: foundations, framing, siding, roofing, interior finishing, etc. The successful candidate will also need experience with project management to coordinate with subcontractors and industry partners through a complex home build. Knowledge of residential building codes and permitting process is required.
