Jack Laurie Group is growing in the Fort Wayne market and we’re looking for a skilled Commercial Carpenter who takes pride in craftsmanship, reliability, and getting the job done right. This role is ideal for someone with commercial construction experience who enjoys working with a strong team, solving problems in the field, and delivering quality work that stands the test of time. We’re not just looking for someone who can swing a hammer—we’re looking for someone who cares about doing the job right the first time. What You’ll Be Doing Perform commercial carpentry work on a variety of projects including renovations, tenant improvements, and specialty construction work Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings Build, install, and repair structures and fixtures using wood, metal framing, and other materials Measure, cut, and assemble materials with precision and efficiency Work closely with project managers and field teams to keep projects moving forward Maintain a safe and organized jobsite Take ownership of workmanship and quality on every project What We’re Looking For Commercial carpentry experience required Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings Experience with framing, finish carpentry, and general commercial construction Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license ACT Certification is a plus, but not required.
