This role is critical in defining the user experience and aesthetic appeal of vehicle interiors, focusing on functionality, ergonomics, material innovation, and visual design. The ideal candidate possesses a strong sense of style, a deep understanding of human-factors engineering, and expertise in automotive interior components such as dashboards, seating systems, trim, and lighting. Responsibilities include conceptualizing and developing interior design themes, creating 2D sketches and 3D CAD models using industry-standard software (e.g., Alias, CATIA), selecting appropriate materials and finishes, and collaborating closely with engineering, manufacturing, and marketing teams to ensure designs are feasible, manufacturable, and meet brand objectives. You will be involved in evaluating new technologies and materials to enhance interior comfort, usability, and perceived quality. Experience with user-centered design principles and a passion for creating innovative and engaging interior spaces are essential. We are seeking an individual with excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively articulating design concepts to diverse audiences. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or a related field, with a portfolio showcasing strong automotive interior design work, is required. Key Responsibilities: Develop innovative concepts for automotive interior design, focusing on user experience and aesthetics. Create detailed 2D sketches, renderings, and 3D CAD models of interior components and layouts. Select and specify interior materials, finishes, colors, and textures. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and integration of interior systems. Work with marketing and product planning teams to align designs with brand strategy and market trends. Evaluate and incorporate new technologies and ergonomic principles into interior designs. Support prototyping and testing activities to validate interior design elements. Present design concepts and proposals to stakeholders. Contribute to maintaining and evolving the brand's interior design language. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in automotive interior design, with a strong portfolio. Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as Alias, CATIA, or similar. Strong sketching, rendering, and visualization skills. Knowledge of automotive interior materials, manufacturing processes, and ergonomics. Understanding of human-factors engineering principles.
