About this role

Associate DesignerResidential & CommercialIn-StudioRevit RequiredGrowth RoleAbout the opportunityWe are a design-forward architecture and interior design firm known for delivering exceptional work across both residential and commercial sectors. We are looking for an Associate Designer who is serious about the craft — someone who shows up prepared, takes ownership of their work, and holds themselves to a standard that doesn’t need to be enforced from the outside. This is a role for a designer who is early enough in their career to still be building their toolkit, but mature enough to work without hand-holding. You will work closely with senior designers and project managers, contributing meaningfully to real projects from day one. If you have the drive to grow fast and the discipline to do the work well, this is the place to do it.What you will contributeSupport project managers and senior designers across active residential and commercial projects, from schematic design through construction administrationDevelop design concepts, space plans, material palettes, and presentation drawings under direction — and increasingly on your own as you growPrepare construction documents, specifications, and finish schedules with accuracy and attention to detailConduct product research, vendor coordination, and procurement support to keep projects on trackParticipate in client meetings and site visits, presenting work professionally and absorbing feedback constructivelyContribute to studio life — pin-ups, critiques, and design conversations are part of how we get better togetherMeet deadlines without being reminded, and flag problems early rather than quietly hoping they resolve themselvesWho succeeds in this roleWe are looking for someone who takes feedback as seriously as they take their own ideas. The best junior designers we have ever hired had strong opinions and the humility to refine them. They asked smart questions, did not wait to be told what to do next, and treated every project — no matter the size — as worth doing right. This role requires genuine commitment to the work. Projects move at the speed of real life, which means timelines shift, priorities stack, and some weeks ask more than others. We are not looking for someone counting hours — we are looking for someone invested in outcomes. Candidates who struggle to adapt to a dynamic studio environment or who need significant schedule accommodation may find this role a poor fit.We welcome ambition. If you want to grow into a senior designer or project manager, this is a place that will challenge and support that path — but you have to show up ready to earn it.Skills & attributesSolid foundational knowledge of residential and commercial design principles, materials, and construction methodsAbility to produce clean, accurate drawings and documentation — you understand that the document is part of the designStrong visual communication skills — sketching, rendering, or presentation layout that can hold a roomReceptive to direction and critique, with the self-awareness to incorporate feedback without taking it personallyOrganized and reliable — you manage your own tasks, hit your deadlines, and keep your team informedCollaborative by nature, competitive only with your own past workProficiency in Revit is required; experience with additional design or visualization tools is a plusWhat we offer3 weeks paid time offPaid family leaveHealth insuranceProfessional developmentInvestment matchingCommunity service timeTo apply, submit your resume, portfolio, and a brief cover letter telling us about a project you worked on that taught you something — and what you did with that lesson.Minimum Qualifications Education - Bachelor’s degree required - From an accredited Architecture or Interior Design programExperience - 2–4 years - Professional interior design or architecture — residential and commercialSoftware - Revit — required - Non-negotiable.
