Assistant Interior Designer, CAD Drafter
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
Work with interior design team to develop design solutions Research concepts and materials to support design team on technical issues influencing concept development Work within timely schedules to coordinate the completion of tasks through to final project completion Conduct on-site observations and meetings with vendors and clients Prepare and participate in client presentations Select furniture, materials, decor and finishes while keeping within budget Custom Designs and custom estimating Office tasks and management assistance A/P, A/R CAD Drafting/Space Planning
Interior Design Assistance to Designers
Client meetings – Notes and action items
Creation of Design Boards presentation materials in Canva
Research of materials and finishes
Gathering of pricing and stock information
Creation of overall presentation materials
Client meetings when necessary
Gathering & delivery of materials and finishes/Errands
Shopping & Picking up of materials
Maintain materials library
CAD Drafting and Space Planning in Chief Architect
Assist with the following:
On-site measurements and space assessments
Space planning and creation of presentation materials associated
Elevations
Custom Specifications
Tile Drawings, Lighting Plans
General office duties, A/P, A/R, to assist designer
Quickbooks, Excel, Outlook
Customer service, scheduling, client and vendor contacts, Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft publisher, Quick books
Assist with maintenance project scheduling – confirm client appointments 1-day prior
Assist with maintenance customer contacts
Assist with maintenance vendor and contractor contacts in QuickBooks
Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable duties
Estimating, Invoices and Purchasing
Purchasing and follow up with clients and vendors on status of items
Follow up of items ordered with tracking of progress
Scheduling of deliveries
Collect and record client payments/Make Deposits
Improve upon and maintain general processes and systems throughout the office
Errands/Mail
Pick up and return product samples
Deliver items to customers/vendors
Maintain client binders and product library
Research new products and vendors
Open and maintain vendor accounts and files
Opening and receiving boxes unpacking deliveries
Assist with general office maintenance
Installations & Deliveries
Installations management assistance – Meeting with installers and delivery people to oversee project installations.
Onsite installations assistance
Accessorizing and furniture installation assistance
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
