Description:
Provides architectural services to customers, including site/inventory verifications, programming, space planning, develops budgets, selects finishes, working/installation drawings, specifications and site-to-plan review. Works closely with sales, order entry and installation groups, as well as customers, A&D and general contractors, to ensure accurate plans and specifications, to achieve customer satisfaction and high-quality project implementation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Attends client planning meetings and presents plans and information to customers for review and approvals.
• Sets client expectations and deadlines for project process and ordering.
• Has the ability to live design with client with or without an Account Executive.
• Can manage clients on their own with check-in points from Account Executive.
• Can develop project budgets.
• Can manage “hold to” dimensions with contractors.
• Works with onsite trades to deliver successful projects.
• Reviews site and conducts field measurements
• Inventories existing product; produces as-built drawings/specifications
• Clarifies scope and expectation by conducting programming analysis, interviewing customer/end users, researching workplace requirements, and analyzing architectural wall needs.
• Develops and presents space plans and gains customer approvals.
• Develops working drawings for specification and installation
• Develops product specifications, double-checks specifications against plans, and prepares specifications for order-entry using electronic specification program
• Conducts field and punch-list review with installation group
• Understands projects financial information and profitability
• Has strong knowledge of interior design field and current practices
• Understands workplace environment issues including technology integration, construction, and construction schedules.
• Has a working knowledge of key manufacturers, including features/benefits, pricing, application, and specification options.
• Has a working knowledge of applicable building codes, ADA regulations, National Electrical Code, etc.
• Understands contract furniture processes, including order preparation, project management, order management and delivery/installation
Requirements:
Qualifications and Skills:
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in related industry is required.
• 1-2 + years of experience in contract furniture design and/or architectural wall products or architectural drafting highly preferred.
• Experience working in AutoCAD, CET/Configura, Microsoft 365, Excel is highly preferred.
• Must have excellent time management skills.
• Possess organizational and prioritization skills
• Must have a high-level attention to detail.
• Self-driven, proactive, and willing to take initiative
• Ability to creatively problem-solve as a team.
Other Job Requirements:
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Must be able to lift 10 lbs.
