WHAT THIS JOB INVOLVES We are looking for candidates with commercial experience (retail or branded store environments a plus) capable of managing all aspects of projects including surveying of existing spaces, space planning, construction documents, permit processing and construction administration. QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITES Minimum one to five years’ experience on commercial projects for new construction and remodel of existing buildings Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree required for Architect candidate (license not required, but preferred) Bachelor of Science, Interior Design degree required for Interior Designer candidate Knowledge of building components, details, etc Knowledge of building sections envelope (applicable to Architect candidate) Responsible for all project aspects from preparing fit plans, construction documents for commercial projects, and teaming with other Jencen staff on projects Construction administration (including permit process, shop drawings, and field visits) Coordination with Jencen staff, client management and working with engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite PERKS · Comprehensive benefits package – single coverage health insurance, 40 hours paid time off, 10 days paid holidays, 10 paid vacation days · Hybrid office/remote work option available · Professional development – relevant license and certification fees paid
