Role Description The Architect Level 1 role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Hartford area. This role involves supporting the development of architectural drawings and 3D models, assisting with design concepts, and preparing construction documents under the guidance of senior staff. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with consultants, performing code and zoning research, and helping organize project documentation. The Architect Level 1 will participate in site visits, field verification, and construction administration support tasks such as documenting field conditions and updating drawings as needed. The role requires close collaboration with the principal, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and contribute across all phases of project delivery. Qualifications Foundational skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, including familiarity with building systems and design principles.Ability to contribute to Project Management activities, such as organizing project files, tracking milestones, and assisting with schedules.Basic understanding of Integration between architectural design and other disciplines (structural, MEP) to support coordinated construction documents.Comfort with Software Development concepts or scripting as they relate to design tools, automation, or BIM workflows is a plus.Proficiency in CAD and BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit), as well as basic skills in 3D modeling and visualization tools.Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Architecture with 3-5 years of experience and working toward licensure or recently licensed is preferred.Solid technical drawing skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret building codes and regulations.Strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a small office environment, and willingness to handle multiple tasks.
