Stress Engineer – Aircraft Cabin InteriorsLocation: GeorgiAbout the RoleWe are seeking a talented Stress Engine er to join Delta's Cabin Rebrand Team, a group dedicated to transforming and modernizing aircraft cabin interiors to align with Delta's latest brand standards. In this role, you will contribute to the design, analysis, certification, and implementation of cabin interior modifications and engineering work packages across Delta's fleet.This is an excellent opportunity for engineers with aviation, aerospace, airline, MRO, or military aircraft experience who enjoy collaborating across multiple teams and seeing their engineering solutions implemented on operational aircrafKey Responsibilities es Develop, design, and support aircraft interior modifications, repairs, inspections, and alterations.Work on cabin systems and components includints Lavatories Galleys Other cabin interior commodities Create and maintain engineering documentation, including: Engineering Repair Authorizations (ER/A) Action Authorizations (Ads Engineering drawings and CAD documentation Ensure designs and modifications comply with applicable airworthiness and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with Maintenance, Planning, Engineering, Materials, and other cross-functional teams to execute modification programs and repairs.Support aircraft maintenance activities and implementation of engineering solutions.Maintain compliance with FAA, DOT, ICAO, FCC, OSHA regulations, and Delta Technical Operations procedures.Promote and demonstrate safety-focused behaviors in all operational activitieRequired Qualifications ns Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline preferred.Equivalent experience will be considered, including candidates without a degree who possess strong relevant aviation engineering experience.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and customers.Ability to manage multiple projects and develop practical engineering solutionPreferred Qualifications ns Experience with in commercial aviation, military aviation, OEM, or MRO environments.Familiarity with: FAA Regulations (FARs) DOT regulations related to cabin interiors, materials, finishes, and flammability require ments Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM) and technical documentationSTC (Supplemental Type Certificate) and ODA certification processes Knowledge of Delta systems such as: AMDSInsightOTISEARTHSCEPTWork Environmentnt Primarily office-based role.Periodic access to aircraft on active flight lines, maintenance hangars, and MRO facilities.Limited exposure to workplace hazards.Opportunity to work closely with aircraft maintenance teams and witness engineering solutions being implemented firsthan#J-18808-Ljbffr
