Design Assistant / Junior Designer (Interior Design)

This role will work under the direction of the Lead Designer and Project Manager and will assist in the various aspects of the design process. The candidate should have excellent attention to detail, be highly organized, and possess strong communication skills. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related fieldPrior design, architecture, or related internship experience preferred (3+ year required for Junior Designer)Strong proficiency in design and presentation software, including Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUpFamiliarity with Studio Designer a plusStrong creative, organizational, and time-management skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently while taking direction and feedback effectivelyExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsClient-service mindset with empathy and professionalismCollaborative, enthusiastic team player willing to support the broader studioInterest in learning and growing within a high-end residential design environmentAccess to a car preferred Ability to physically navigate active project and construction sites, including ascending and descending stairsAbility to lift and carry packages, samples, or materials up to 30 lbs as neededAbility to stand or move for extended periods during site visits, installs, or errandsAbility to clearly communicate with clients, contractors, vendors, and team members in both office and on-site environments Support design operations for the design team, including vendor communication and quote processingAssist in the design process by creating initial concepts, sketches, layouts, and visual studies under directionResearch design trends, materials, finishes, and color schemesSource fabrics and materials based on client input and design directionOrder samples, produce sample boards, and assist with material presentations
