We're looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Interior Designer Intern to join our Design Team and gain hands-on experience supporting the design and personalization of homes across our Pacific Northwest portfolios. Assist the Design Team with the selection of interior finishes, fixtures, color palettes, materials, and design options.Support the creation and maintenance of Design Packages for internal and external review.Collaborate with Purchasing to facilitate buyer and homeowner pricing and option selections.Maintain and organize the design studio, including sample management, scheduling, and presentation readiness.Partner with the Experience Team to ensure every buyer and homeowner enjoys an exceptional and memorable design studio visit.Update and maintain the design package library with new vendor materials, product offerings, and re-selections.Build relationships with vendors while learning product knowledge, quality standards, and industry best practices.Support Construction Superintendents by responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) and researching solutions as needed.Assist with the oversight and organization of exterior color board materials to enhance curb appeal and design consistency.Conduct market research, competitive visits, and trend analysis, presenting findings and recommendations to the Design Team.Communicate finalized design selections and changes to the Purchasing Department. Works closely with sales and purchasing to create the buyer or homeowner pricing and option approval. Maintains the design package library to keep current and priced accurately accounting for new vendors or pricing changes.

THE ROLE: The Director of Interior Design is responsible to lead the area and plays a key role on the senior division operations team and oversee the team to support the sales process to provide a virtual reality experience that differentiates the process and allows the ability to see the final product and options that are available. Is a key partner to the operations to participate throughout the building process including paper and frame walks. • Manages the library design packages to include reviewing on a scheduled cadence, determining any changes, implementing the updates, working with purchasing on any cost changes, and reviewing all updates with the division tea • Oversees all or part of the design team members responsible to hire, evaluate, and performance manage as necessary • Is the key point of contact and partner to the sales team when working with prospective buyers and /or homeowners to represent or assign all meetings to support in finalizing a contract. • Participates in frame walks soliciting and providing feedback to identify opportunities to enhance the current project or those in the future. • Previous experience setting team goals and development.
