Senior Interior Designer

The Senior Interior Designer is responsible for design in all phases of a project and demonstrates a master level knowledge of the interior design process from programming through construction administration. S/he/they must have professional communication, presentation, and client management skills, along with the ability to clearly document and present design concepts to all project stakeholders and industry peers. Lead visioning, programming, design conceptualization, development, and integration of strategic design solutions for projects.Conceptualizes and develops interior design from both a functional and aesthetic perspective in concert with a client’s requirements, budget, and program.Programming and generation of programming documents.Develops space planning, block planning, and adjacency diagrams.Oversight of design details including, but not limited to, millwork design, ceiling, and lighting design.Completes Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment scope tasks from design and selection through bid.Creation of Finish and material palettes.Research and evaluate materials.Research, evaluate and select interior systems.Develops the interiors through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats to express the design intent.Ensures design complies with building codes and ADA guidelines.Understands and coordinates project systems to ensure compatibility with the design intent. Lead all stages of the design process including visioning, programming, concept design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.Coordination and collaboration with project team (includes full team architects and engineers).Lead Client Presentations and correspondence and communication.Estimate the time required to complete the work.Management of projects through developing project scope, schedules, job production, quality, and fee management.Work with project team, consultants, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives.Manage client relationships.Provide consistent and timely communication of project information with clients and the project team.Develops interior design in accordance with cost parameters and ensures interior design intent is maintained through documentation and construction.
