Works under the direction of mid- to senior-level interior designers Collaborates with and supports Project and Senior Interior Designers in developing design solutions Demonstrates proficiency in design software used by the office for both drafting and presentations Researches and selects colors, finishes, and materials Prepares design and presentation drawings for interior design projects, including furniture specifications, finish boards, and binders Assists with business development efforts through preparation of presentation materials Builds and maintains effective client relationships Takes initiative to research and apply codes and technical requirements Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design; actively pursuing NCIDQ certification 3 to 5 years of experience; workplace design experience preferred Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and 3ds Max Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to exercise sound, independent judgment Confidence in contributing ideas and participating in design discussions High attention to detail with an appreciation for thoughtful, creative design

We are seeking a Design Professional (working toward architectural licensure) to join our multidisciplinary design team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects, including higher education, corporate interiors, science and technology, healthcare, and others. The successful candidate will have approximately three years of professional experience and will contribute to design development and technical documentation, collaborate with project teams and consultants, and continue building technical expertise within a supportive, team-oriented studio environment. Duties and Responsibilities: Uses independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and use of standard techniques, but functions as a collaborative member of a team Independently solves problems and reviews findings with team leader Compiles data, performs design computations, and executes all necessary code analysis with guidance from team leader Makes quantity takeoffs Prepares architectural renderings and documentation in coordination with internal and external team members Inspects architectural features of projects in field with assistance from team leader Receives technical guidance Receives supervisory approval on project documentation Checks own work for quality control on a regular basis; ensures that work is reviewed by team leader Coordinates assigned tasks with team leader according to workplan Maintains project files and records (electronic and otherwise) in an organized fashion that is readily identifiable and coordinated with team members Possesses diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices Uses advanced techniques while performing work Responsible for complete documentation, specifications, and material selection Job Requirements Local to New Haven and able to work in-office a minimum of 3 days per week.
