We're looking for someone who can do two things genuinely well, build beautiful creative looks for high-end stagings and repair, reinforce, and restore the furniture that makes those looks possible. We specialize exclusively in real estate staging, styling, and short-term rental and vacation home design, not traditional interior design, so the best fit is someone who lives and breathes visual merchandising and loves working with their hands. Organize and maintain our accessories library and curated collection.Kit and stage accessories so the team can pull quickly and beautifully.Support both the Hudson Valley and Manhattan design teams as needed. You have a genuine eye for styling, visual merchandising, or prop styling — ideally in home decor.You have real carpentry skills — you can repair, reinforce, and restore wood furniture, and you're comfortable with basic woodworking tools and techniques.You're a self-starter who brings fresh ideas to inventory and creative looks.You're impeccably organized and take pride in a beautiful, orderly space.You're not shy about physical work — staging and restoration are hands-on.You keep up with trends in interior design and home staging. This is a rare hybrid role for someone with a real eye for design and an instinct for social media. You'll be on-site at staging installs and luxury properties styling spaces, and capturing, creating, and publishing the content that brings our brand to life across Instagram and beyond. You have a genuine eye for design, styling, or interiors and you create content that shows it.You're comfortable shooting and editing short-form video, and confident learning new tools (we use Descript, CapCut, Canva, Edits, InStories, and Wave.io familiarity is a huge plus, willingness is a must).You understand social trends but know how to keep things elevated and on-brand.You're organized, proactive, and happy wearing multiple hats.You can work independently and collaborate with a creative team.You're NYC-area based and can travel to The Hudson Valley 1–2 times per month. CATHY HOBBS DESIGN RECIPES in New York City is seeking a Part-Time Junior Designer to join their acclaimed home staging team. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to assist in real projects from day one, including walkthroughs, inventory management, and installations. The ideal candidate will have a background in Interior Design or a related field, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to work hands-on in various settings. This role is perfect for those eager to learn about high-end design and staging.

You will be a core member of our Hudson Valley team, supporting both the warehouse/accessories library and our growing Creative Looks department. Assist the current Creative Looks team in developing and executing styled vignettes and curated accessory groupings.Bring fresh ideas to inventory presentation, seasonal concepts, and on-trend styling approaches.Support the visual direction for both Hudson Valley and Manhattan staging projects as needed. Mid-level carpentry experience is required — comfortable with furniture assembly, minor repairs, patching, and basic construction. AAS or BFA in Interior Design strongly preferred, but not required.
