It employs Event Designers, Scenic Designers, Theater Carpenter/Technicians, Event Installers, Office & Event Operations Managers, Event Graphic Artists, Prop Masters, Scene Shop Foreman, and various administrative positions. Interior Design/Event Sales

In this role, you will lead the client experience from initial consultation through final execution of custom event environments and interior spaces. Conduct thorough client consultations to understand project goals, budgets, and aesthetic preferences.Develop comprehensive design plans including mood boards, floor plans, elevations, and presentation materials.Create photorealistic 3D models and renderings to pitch concepts and visually communicate design intent.Develop innovative event and interior design concepts that enhance the overall client experience.Create detailed design proposals using SketchUp, AutoCAD, and related design software.Source and select furnishings, textiles, lighting, décor, and specialty materials according to project specifications.Present design concepts and recommendations to clients for approval.Stay informed of industry trends, products, and best practices.Sales & Client Relations Meet and exceed established sales targets by converting consultations into finalized projects and sales packages.Conduct proactive business development and sales outreach to prospective and existing clients.Deliver persuasive presentations that communicate the value, functionality, and experience of proposed designs.Manage client accounts, develop proposals, negotiate project details, and nurture long-term relationships.Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal production teams to ensure successful project delivery.Serve as a professional representative of Ampa Events, delivering exceptional customer service throughout the client journey.Project Management & Event Execution Professional experience in interior design, spatial planning, event design, or design-focused sales.Experience in event planning, event production, or experiential environments preferred.Technical Proficiency Advanced proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or related design software.Strong rendering and visualization skills are required.Knowledge of lighting design principles is a plus.Portfolio submission is required and should demonstrate design thinking, rendering capabilities, and completed projects.Sales Acumen

Interior Designer/Account Manager

If you have interior design degree and at least 5+ years of experience in the event industry with sales training, have an understanding of the event industry, and rendering skills, then this is the perfect position for you! Candidates without the degree and experience, rendering skills, and a portfolio will not be considered. Travel to regional and national sites for marketing and programs. Job responsibilities include: • Listen to client’s needs and generate creative solutions designing rooms, themes, lounge environments, floor plans that are both functional and fun. • Provide total solutions for clients that include planning services, design services, equipment services, technical services and skilled professional execution of programs • Pursue networking opportunities – develop and maintain professional contacts in the event industry by participating and attending industry association events creating beneficial relationships • Establish Ampa as a vendor at all major venues throughout the metro DC and Mid Atlantic region • Serve the event needs, equipment and technical services of other event professionals and venues • Draft proposals and contracts using a sales database system that includes a point and click inventory database to support complete designs • Manage the project to fruition including installation of client events and supervision of operation crew as needed.
